    I’m working on at the moment.  My header.png file is transparent but there is still white showing.  How do I make the white go away so the background shows through?  I’m assuming it has something to do with functions.php or CSS?

    The reason this is happening is because #wrap has a background color of #fff.

    The easiest way to fix this is to add the following to your functions.php file:
    /** Move #header outside of #wrap */
    remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_do_header’ );
    add_action( ‘genesis_before’, ‘genesis_do_header’ );

    You may have to add some CSS rules for your header once you do that because it will no longer be constrained by the #wrap element.

    I added that code to my functions.php file but I’m not quite sure that it worked.  It still appears to be part of the wrap.  Also, what CSS code would I need to add?

    Nevermind…I figured it out…yay!!!  The code that you gave me didn’t work though…I ended up finding this code which did work perfectly:

    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_header_markup_open', 5 );
    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_do_header' );
    remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_header_markup_close', 15 );
    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'genesis_header_markup_open', 5 );
    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'genesis_do_header' );
    add_action( 'genesis_before', 'genesis_header_markup_close', 15 );

    Thanks for helping!!! :)
