The new version of Jetpack (2.5) has introduced the Google+ Profile module.
The description says that “The Google+ profile module allows you to connect your blog and Google+ accounts.” and “A link will also be added to your Google+ profile.”
I am using Genesis Genesis SEO Options “Homepage Author” and I wonder if activating Jetpack G+ while using the Genesis option will cause problems.
Anyone tried this and notice any problem?

I don’t use Jetpack, so don’t have any input personally, but as you posted this a while back, I hope you were able to get your issue resolved. If not, can you please check back in here, and I will escalate for you. Thanks!

Hi Susan, thanks for your reply!
I still have the same doubt, as I’m not a coder I can’t decide myself about this.
If anyone that understand this matter better could step up and give some insight it would be great.
Thanks again,November 20, 2013 at 11:44 am #74436November 20, 2013 at 12:13 pm #74443
As far as I can tell, Genesis out of the box will allow you to verfiy your posts but not the home page.
Test it here: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets
Maybe you can install both and compare the tests for homepage + posts then report back. That would be helpful for many of us. Thanks in advance!November 20, 2013 at 1:36 pm #74498
Odd, I was sure my response with a link tester was completed after I submitted. Guess my reply got deleted, oh well.November 20, 2013 at 1:44 pm #74505November 20, 2013 at 1:48 pm #74507
I suggested to multiverso to try this tester: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets
I have noticed that some out of the box Genesis set ups do not show authorship info for the homepage. Authorship only returns a positive in posts.
Multiverso, maybe you can test your homepage + posts and come back to report back. With and without the Jetpack G+ module? That would be most helpful.November 20, 2013 at 1:48 pm #74508November 20, 2013 at 1:50 pm #74512November 20, 2013 at 1:51 pm #74514

That worked! @Mealtog – I don’t know why they went to spam. After a certain period of time, they are not recoverable, but if I know to check right away, I can usually “unspam” them.
