Just Can't Understand Why

The old forum was fine.  Why did you “fix” something that wasn’t broke?

At least not from this user’s perspective.

I know you might get lots of off-beat suggestions, but why not ask your users before making such a radical change?

If you look around you will find that this has been asked and answered several times. The short version is, it was broken but most users who “grew up” with the forum learned to work around the limitations so new users were lost time and time again.

Because this has been answered previously and because there isn’t really a reasonable way to go back, this will be closed. It isn’t that we don’t want to hear from you on this, but this forum isn’t really a place for this discussion. If you have further questions on the decision you will find longer responses elsewhere or you can contact us in help desk.
