I am having trouble with the landing page type in Minimum Pro. When I draft the page, it shows the text centered on top of the background image - this is what I'd prefer for my splash page. But when I set the Front Page to display this static page in the settings area, it defaults to the photo locked at the top of the page with the scroll functionality.
Here's the Front Page: http://sandbox.perspectivesonpractice.com
Here's a second page I set up to test it - not set up as the front page: http://sandbox.perspectivesonpractice.com/?page_id=18
Has anyone else encountered this? Any tricks or tips to get around it?
Thanks so much for any help you can provide.http://sandbox.perspectivesonpractice.com
Sorry you're having difficulty getting your landing page to display! It looks like Minimum Pro's home.php is overriding your settings for the homepage. Try renaming home.php in the theme folder to something like home-old.php and see if that gets it to display correctly. If not, post back here and I'll be glad to take another look.
Hi Andrea, it was so kind of you to reply to this and I hate that I missed thanking you - I was short on time getting the site up in the fall & heading on the road to do a series of interviews - so I let this piece go for the time being. Now I'm back where I started!
I couldn't locate a home.php file, so I played with copying the contents of page_landing.php to a new home.php file. No luck there.
Here's my new (test site) home page: http://sandbox.perspectivesonpractice.com,
and the same, with the landing page format: http://sandbox.perspectivesonpractice.com/test/ This is the version I want people to see when they arrive at the site.
If you have any insights or know of tutorials that would help, I would be grateful. In the meantime I'm researching and learning!
Thanks so much,
