Hello,
I'm unable to make any changes in the customize window, it constantly loads/refreshes.
For example, in the left hand column of wp-admin/customize.php if I click on Header Image and then Add New Image the window continues to refresh and I never get to the point of being able to upload an image. If the media window does open it ends up closing before I ever get to the point where I can click to upload an image or select an image from the library.
The browser tab continually reads "Customize Loading..."
I've gotten the same results in Chrome and Firefox, on a desktop and 2 different laptops.
I really need to upgrade my theme from the old Lifestyle to the Lifestyle Pro. How can I get that customize window to stop loading and work properly? Or is there a better way to make the custom changes I want to make?
Thanks,
JoLynn

generally Lifestyle Pro works well with the customizer.
Your website is showing the Lifestyle theme.
Did you activate the Lifestyle Pro theme before using the customizer? You can also make the changes directly in the style.css and functions.php file, but you won´t have a user interface.

The customize window behaves exactly the same with the current Lifestyle theme I have now. If I activate the Pro Lifestyle theme the customize window behaves the same. I don't keep the Pro theme active since I need to make the style changes to it.
What's the solution to get it to work?

Are you running the latest version of WordPress and are all your plugins updated?
Check if the plugins you have installed are compatible with the version of WordPress you are using.
April 12, 2015 at 3:24 pm #147613JoLynn BraleyMemberI verified all plugins were up to date before posting this, but thanks for the reminder.
Are Genesis coders in on Monday? Do I need to wait until tomorrow to find out how to get this fixed?
All Good!
April 12, 2015 at 4:23 pm #147646ChristophMemberWow, no need to insult me for trying to help you for free.
Is that what they teach these days at Master NLP Practitioner school? There are a certain sequences troubleshooting problems.
Since I´m suspecting your problem is caused by a plugin conflict, I´m following this sequence.
You have updated WordPress and your plugins. That´s great.Next step: Are the plugins you are using compatible with your version of WordPress or might they be causing problems?
Case in point https://wordpress.org/plugins/seo-facebook-comments/ says it is compatible up to Version 3.8.3
The Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form isn't even in the plugin directory of wordpress.org anymore, you cannot download it from their website or from Mike Jolly's github repository. Now I would ask you to deactivate one plugin at a time and see if that solves the Customizer problem.
But feel free to find a genesis coder. You can reach the official Studiopress support at my.studiopress.com/help

Wishing you the best and I'll get help with this website issue to get it sorted.

I get where the trouble shooter guy is coming from - but we haven't changed a thing between yesterday and today.
