    Hello – How do I increase the header image size and reduce the header widget area size? Essentially I’d like to switch them and make the header 728×90 and the widget area to 380 × 90.

    Replace this in your functions.php file with the following:

    //* Add support for custom header
    add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
    	'default-text-color'     => '000000',
    	'header-selector'        => '.site-title a',
    	'header-text'            => false,
    	'height'                 => 90,
    	'width'                  => 728,
    ) );

    Change your title area like so in your style.css file:

    .title-area {
    float: left;
    padding-top: 30px;
    width: 728px;
    }

    Change your widget are like so in your style.css:

    .site-header .widget-area {
    float: right;
    text-align: right;
    width: 380px;
    }

    I used this guide to and resized the left title area to 720 x 245 but for some reason my image is shrinked . Any idea?

    The right side seems to be okay – I resized it to a width of 380 as suggested above

    At line 4465 of your style.css you have:

    .header-image .site-title a {
        background-position: center center !important;
        background-size: contain !important;
        display: block;
        float: left;
        min-height: 90px;
        text-indent: -9999px;
        width: 100%;

    Try changing min-height: 90px; to min-height: 200px; or whatever value suits you best.

    figured it out: In the style sheet, I also changed this:

    .header-image .site-title a {

    background-position: center !important;
    background-size: contain !important;
    float: left;
    display: block;
    min-height: 90px;

    to this:

    header-image .site-title a {

    background-position: center !important;
    background-size: contain !important;
    float: left;
    display: block;
    min-height: 245px;
