Just a heads-up. Somehow the header.php file in my Genesis folder on my godaddy web server got corrupted with some scam/spam about “loans” and had dozens of links to “easy loans” and “payday loans” but it wasn’t visible when the site loaded. The solution was to replace the header.php file with a clean version of the header.php file inside of the Genesis folder. Then I had to change my ftp IDs and passwords.

    Been there myself last year.

I checked my site using the Securi online tool and it came up clean even though i had malicious redirects in the header menu.

I installed the Wordfence plugin which i highly recommend as it also includes limit login attempts and the scan using this plugin picked up the problem.

I replaced the wp-includes and wp-admin folders which did the trick.

10 digit+ password will also make it hard for hackers to get in.

I have had this same issue on several of my clients websites in the last month. Thanks for the suggestions.
