    I have a similar issue. This is with the header background color. I have it transparent, which is what I want. However, the hover color is picking up from the primary nav menu. Here is the code I am using. It is working well for everything; except the hover.

    .site-header .genesis-nav-menu,
    .nav-header {
    	background-color: transparent;
    	float: right;
    	width: auto;
    }

    .site-header .genesis-nav-menu a:link,
    .nav-header a {
    	color: #FFFFFF;
    	display: block;
    	weight: 300;
     	border-top: 3px solid transparent;
     	border-bottom: 3px solid transparent;
    	text-transform: uppercase;
    	padding: 8px 18px 8px 18px;
    	padding: .8rem 1.8rem .8rem 1.8rem;
    	margin-top: 25px;
    	margin-top: 2.5rem;
    	position: relative;
    }

    .site-header .genesis-nav-menu a:hover,
    .nav-header a:hover {
    	background-color: transparent !important;
    	border-color: #24CFFF;
    }

    Any suggestions on how I can get the hover bg transparent, with just the blue borders showing.

    One other quick questions. Why is the primary nav hover dropping down 1 pixel?
