I'm running the latest Genesis and Lifestyle Pro. I have two custom menus which are appearing as bulleted vertical lists rather than running horizontal along the upper and lower edges of the header. I have the appropriate check boxes checked in the Genesis Theme area (at least I think I do.) I don't know what else to do. I have not made any changes to the stylesheets or anything else at this point.
This is just staging so forgive the mess of the content, etc. I'm switching from Lifestyle to Lifestyle Pro and trying to get it right.

August 21, 2014 at 3:27 pm #120310AnitaKeymasterDo you have some sort of Nav Plugin installed or are you working with Dynamik or something?

August 21, 2014 at 3:28 pm #120312djfit99MemberI didn't change anything. I just updated to the latest version of Genesis. Activated the Lifestyle Pro and that's what happened. No Nav Plugin or Dynamik.
August 21, 2014 at 3:44 pm #120323AnitaKeymasterWhat version of the Genesis Framework are you using?

August 21, 2014 at 3:47 pm #120325djfit99MemberVersion 2.1.2 of Genesis.
August 21, 2014 at 3:52 pm #120326AnitaKeymasterI just noticed you wrote "custom menus" at the very top. How did you apply the menus? Did you go to Appearance > Menus - click tab Manage Locations. Your menus should be set there.

August 21, 2014 at 3:54 pm #120328AnitaKeymasterDeactivate the Social Profiles and Social Media plugins to see if there's a conflict.

August 21, 2014 at 4:05 pm #120334AnitaKeymasterI would suggest that you delete Lifestyle Pro all together and reinstall it fresh.

August 21, 2014 at 4:05 pm #120335djfit99MemberI went to appearance>menus>tabs and both menus have the appropriate locations assigned. Primary and Secondary Navigation Bar. I deactivated the plugins you recommended and nothing happened. I cleared the cache to make certain.
August 21, 2014 at 4:12 pm #120339djfit99MemberI deleted it and reinstalled it. No change.
One thing I noticed is in the Genesis Theme settings in the menu setting the "Custom Nav Menu" button is selected. I cannot get that to deselect. The use primary navigation and use secondary navigation menus are checked.
Could the custom nav menu be a problem? I mean, the fact that I cannot uncheck it?
August 21, 2014 at 4:13 pm #120340AnitaKeymasterWhen I look at your code - the nav locations are not named properly. So there is something wrong with that theme. I would suggest you re-download it. Delete it completely. But let me ask you this - do you have any custom.css file in there anywhere. Did you copy any contents from the original site you are working on into the site - into the functions.php or home.php? Or was this completely a fresh install.

August 21, 2014 at 4:17 pm #120343AnitaKeymasterYes, is Custom Nav Menu a plugin - if so deactivate it.

August 21, 2014 at 4:18 pm #120345AnitaKeymasterI asked about a Nav plugin up top.

August 21, 2014 at 4:22 pm #120347djfit99MemberI don't think there is any leftover code. I just deleted the Genesis theme and reinstalled it from a fresh download. I also deleted the Lifestyle Pro theme and reinstalled it from a fresh download as well. You can see now what is happening is that the menus are still wrong.
I appreciate your help very much.
August 21, 2014 at 4:23 pm #120348AnitaKeymasterNow go back to Appearance > Menus. Select Manage Locations and see if you need to allocate the Primary and Secondary again.

August 21, 2014 at 4:29 pm #120350AnitaKeymasterDeactivate your plugins. It has to be a conflict in there somewhere. I have this same theme that I am looking at plus the demo and it works fine.

August 21, 2014 at 4:36 pm #120354djfit99MemberMy goodness I didn't even know that plugin existed or that I had it. I deactivated it and now the menus are fixed.
I don't even know how to thank you. I appreciate it so much.
August 21, 2014 at 4:42 pm #120358AnitaKeymasterYou're welcome.
