Hi everyone,
I'm making this site: http://vietnameselanguagelessons.com/
I'm using Genesis Framework.
As you can see, it's a mess. And i have been encountering many problems. I'm a tech dummy so i hope you can help me with this. I would be so grateful.
1. I'm using a plugin called Genesis Grid - Bill Erickson. There is a box in which my text is overspilling. Support from studio press suggested me using this code : .entry-title {
word-break: break-word;
}
I put it in style.css. But nothing work. Codes are the same to me. I have no idea.
2. I have different grid boxes size. Is there a way that i can make them the same size? I used a plugin called Regenerate-Thumbnails. But the pictures are still in different size. Or i just didn't know how to use it right.
I saw http://www.copyblogger.com . Can I make my post teasers look like them? Which means get rid of "Filed under:...." and have border around them.
3. In single pages, I need to get rid of my "Read the Blog" button. I used this code:
add_action( 'remove_hook', 'remove_hooks_all_single_pages' );
function remove_hooks_all_single_pages() {
if ( is_singular('page') ) {
remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'before_loop_widget' );
}
}It didn't work or I just don't know how to function the code.

It may sound stupid, sorry, i have learned to use these things for 2 weeks now, coding is a pain to me.
I look forward to your help. Thanks !January 30, 2015 at 10:58 pm #139112haboiyenMemberAlso when I was in my blog page, I clicked on page 2 which was empty, the numeric and previous-page buttons were gone. How can I get it back in blog page that is empty?
January 31, 2015 at 5:51 am #139133CarloMemberHi Adam. That's a lot of help you're asking for, for free! I'll help you out with one issue if you let me know which one is the most urgent. Anything beyond that will cost you, as my time is valuable.
Out of curiosity, if it's such a pain to you, why are you trying to do it all yourself, instead of just paying a developer and allowing yourself to focus on your business?
January 31, 2015 at 9:42 pm #139228haboiyenMemberHi Carlo,
I'm Adam's assistant and also in charge of making the website. I know it's too much to ask. But I'm learning. So I'd be so grateful if anyone could help me. Adam knows how to fix them but he wants to make me figure it out by myself. And I'm Vietnamese so it's also hard for me but I think I will try many ways if asking people just doesnt work out.January 31, 2015 at 10:44 pm #139229haboiyenMemberHi Carlo,
It would be nice if you can help me with number 3.
Thanks.February 1, 2015 at 6:46 am #139247CarloMemberAdam knows how to fix them but he wants to make me figure it out by myself.
That's strange... So he knows how to make a website and you don't and he's paying you to make his website?
Hi Carlo,
It would be nice if you can help me with number 3.
Thanks.OK. Am I correct that in your theme functions, you have a function called
before_loop_widget
? Modify it like so:function before_loop_widget() { if ( is_singular( 'page' ) ) return; // AND THE PRE-EXISTING CONTENT OF YOUR FUNCTION GOES HERE }
