I was wondering – is there an easy way to tell Genesis not to display certain widgets when the theme is being displayed on a mobile device? I want for the mobile users to have less to load so that the site displays faster. It would be nice if I could tell WP which widgets I want to show on mobile and which on desktop view only.
Also – same question but with CSS. I have some styles (asides) which look good on desktop and tablet view but don’t look as nice on mobile view. I would just prefer to hide them on mobile devices. Is there any way to modify CSS properties based on the device being used?
Probably not the most elegant, but easy to setup – just call out the specific widget selectors and desired related rule in the appropriate media query sections of the CSS.
