I am looking for an accelerated solution to make a blogging website I am planning to launch in the next 3 months mobile user friendly. I have tried the free and premium WP touch plugin but I am not happy with the result.
1. Would using a mobile ready studiopress child theme create the mobile user friendly experience?
2. Is there any coding required, what type of coding?
3. How much coding should I expect a web development to have to do and in what time frame?

1. There are over 300 Genesis themes that are mobile responsive right "out of the box". WP Touch is not required.
2. The *quality* of the responsive design may vary by theme shop/author, but little coding - if any at all - may be needed. From StudioPress probably no changes will be required ...
3. Depending on the theme and your design requirements, some coding may be required - how long it would take will depend on your changes and the skills of the developer.
There are literally hundreds of Genesis themes to satisfy your blogging needs (see my .sig below). If you would like assistance in developing your site or making it mobile responsive contact me via this page or wrangle one of the many devs that help out in these forums.

I thank you for your response. I have since invested in the Parallax Pro child theme for the project I mentioned above. I have sent you an email using the form from the page link in the email above. I look forward to talking with you.

October 21, 2014 at 6:35 pm #128697marinicholasMemberThank you Genrock for your offer and I will definitely take it up. For now I need some information. I am using the Parallax Child theme. I love the look of that theme so much I am trying not to do too much customization to it. So having said that how would I find out the dimensions of the header so that I can make use of it to have the banner and the menu as it is now. What dimensions would I give my graphics person in terms of the banner size.
