Hi,
I've got a pretty basic setup running the Modern Portfolio theme:
And I'm wondering why my custom menu that appears on a page like:
http://cheaprbooks.com/buy-books/
Does not appear on the home page? Does it have to do with the nature of the home page typically being "jump links" to various on page sections? Seems like the main navigation menu would still show without it only being in a custom header widget?
Thanks,
Joe

I created a custom menu named "Top Nav" and opted to have it appear as the Primary Navigation Menu.
As you can see on http://cheaprbooks.com/buy-books/ the menu appears as it should, but it is not appearing on the home page.

August 12, 2013 at 5:37 pm #55908HoppeMemberThanks Rob for moving around the secondary navigation menu to provide a work-around that still looks nice, but it would be good if anyone knows the answer why the primary navigational menu is not appearing on the home page as expected.

It uses the Custom Menu in the Header Right Widget Area. So remove the navigation you have in place now. Then go to widgets, drag over the Custom Menu into Header Right and you will be all set.

August 13, 2013 at 3:34 am #55981RobGMemberI was assuming he wanted the menu at the of the header section that's why I suggest to add it at the top. But yes that's correct the Modern Portfolio was built to insert the custom widget in the right header area. I 'm also using this themes and placed the menu at the top as well. Thanks for the info Anitac..
