As such Genesis Framework is a parent theme and your website look is decided by child theme you use. There many different types of child themes for Genesis framework.
Sunshine PRO genesis theme

If you ask most people about accessibility, I think you're right, they might think "something that looks good to many people" or something like that. They won't realize that this refers to interfaces that help blind people, deaf people, and other difficulties with perception of data.I remember working on a site for people with carpal tunnel syndrome. They were happy to have very, very long pages - it was more painful for them to click on lots of links.
I think you're also right in the sense that we are not accessibility experts. I haven't seen any discussions on this forum about that. I try to keep accessibility in mind by making sure that I have ALT tags for images, and a few other things, but I will confess that I am not very knowledgeable about this either. You and I might also have a language barrier. ๐
I did find it interesting to find this site about accessibility, which happens to be using Genesis. ๐ I think you want to know if other Genesis child themes are accessible or not. I don't know, and I sort of doubt that Genesis staff will know conclusively. I can tell you this... the framework plus the free child theme is perfectly good for making a site. I use that combination all the time to make custom themes. And I would guess that using any Studiopress child theme will be mostly OK for accessibility if the framework is good for that. I see that there are a couple extra scripts on that site for accessibility. You could try asking Rian if she will sell or give that theme to you. She's Dutch, but is multilingual, and I've chatted with her on Twitter, and she's cool.
My best suggestion: test those themes for accessibility. If you're not a developer or tech savvy, you really will need a developer. That's because I very much doubt that any theme, Genesis or not, will automatically give you what you need. So you will need a developer to add any special features. No instant fix for this. I would actually pay more attention to accessibility, but to be honest, my clients generally don't care about it, and they also don't want to pay extra for making that happen. If you hire Rian, tell her I sent you. ๐
Here's another resource - a plugin that will help any WordPress theme to have some additional accessibility features. I haven't used it, but it looks promising:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-accessibility/That's an interesting topic, and I wish you success in your search. I hope this helps a little.
Cheers, Dave

and sorry for my late answer ๐accessibility is very important for me and is a big part of my work.
It will be difficult to explain in english how much accessibility is important in web business. It is useful for everybody
for disable people of course
for people who do not have a normal environnement (no keyboard, no mousse for ex)
for new technology (ipad, iphone)for exemple : the responsive is used in accessbility for a long time because we need to resize the characters (bigger or small) for partially-sighted person.
Tesco in 2001 (e-commerce plateform in usa) created a page for disable people. the number of commands increased of 700 000 by week in december...(there was disable people, but senior too and people who wanted an ergonomic website).
For ranking, it is very good too, because a screen reader works as googlebot.
And i have many many others exemple.
Maybe you could make some effort. i could help you. i'm an expert in accessibility.

I understand your point, and that's very interesting. I will probably read up more on the subject soon. If you need extra developer help, let me know - it would be interesting in learning how to work on sites with accessibility as a focus.Dave
