    Hi,

    I’m having some issues trying to position the nav menu over the header, and both outside the wrap.

    I use this code to move the header
    /** Reposition header outside main wrap */
    remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_header_markup_open’, 5 );
    remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_do_header’ );
    remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_header_markup_close’, 15 ) ;

    add_action( ‘genesis_before’, ‘genesis_header_markup_open’, 5 );
    add_action( ‘genesis_before’, ‘genesis_do_header’ );
    add_action( ‘genesis_before’, ‘genesis_header_markup_close’, 15 );

    And to move reposition the nav I tried both code snippets

    // Reposition the Primary Navigation
    remove_action(‘genesis_after_header’, ‘genesis_do_nav’);
    add_action(‘genesis_before_header’, ‘genesis_do_nav’);

    and

    // Reposition the Primary Navigation
    remove_action(‘genesis_after_header’, ‘genesis_do_nav’);
    add_action(‘genesis_before’, ‘genesis_do_nav’);

    But the result is the nav menu reposition in the middle of the header.

    Any clues how can I reposition the nav menu over the header, and both outside the wrap?

    Thanks!

    I tried using the  hook get_header  ( according to the visual hook guide http://genesistutorials.com/visual-hook-guide/) and it seems to work and reposition the nav menu at the top of the page.

    //Reposition nav
    remove_action( ‘genesis_after_header’, ‘genesis_do_nav’ );
    add_action( ‘get_header’, ‘genesis_do_nav’ );

    It’s that a good solution?

    Thanks Brad, unfortunately I have the site on a local MAMP server…
