This is a theme we’re developing for the small publisher/author.
When I hover over the Store menu item it turns the background red.
If I click one of the sub items (shop or checkout) it takes you to the page… but Store is not red… but it really should be. I understand that it is no longer “active” but is there a way to keep it red while “in” the store?
I’ve tried every CSS combo I can think of and I know I need to ask a higher authority. I try to help others when I can… now I hope someone will help me!
It is plain old Agency bought from SP on our account with them (they can verify… (it is not pirated if that is what you are asking.) Nothing special was done to the code. All we did was add a some custom post logic and Woo e-com… nothing having to do with the menus.
Somewhere there is a CSS setting to do make the menu item ‘active’ when a sub-item is selected… but maybe not.
I was looking at the Css within that themes and can’t really see what’s causing it. Are you just having the problem with that one menu? ( Our Store )
The Our Store entry is the only one with a drop down (sub-menu.) And “Our Store” is actually a custom entry… it is not a page.
I’ve looked at our other theme and none of them stay “selected” if they have sub-items. I think this is just a Studio Press or WordPress “convention” and there is nothing that can be done to change it short of writing a ton of plugin code.
