*edited private info*Can you please advise on how to increase the width of my content area from 590 to 640? I've increased the wrap from 900 to 950 and increased the 590 to 640 but I'm apparently still missing some code somewhere b/c it's not working. I want to keep sidebar width the way it is - only want to increase content width by 50px. Any help is appreciated!
http://www.katytexasliving.comApril 3, 2014 at 4:46 pm #98360AnitaKeymasterI am asking support to remove your user id and password. That is not safe for you to do that. You can get hacked or shut down. This is an open forum where anyone could log in.

April 3, 2014 at 5:37 pm #98370runaustinMemberYou can't see my site w/o a username and password... Nobody can help w/o it...
It's a guest login w/ no privileges set up just for this question which I'll also delete the second someone helps me w/ this issue.
Now that you responded this thread is no longer flagged as new so arent I less likely to get help now? That's how this forum used to work I was told. Should I repost this thread now?
April 3, 2014 at 6:02 pm #98377AnitaKeymasterNo, you can still get help and No you don't need to repost. I will try to look but for safety purposes you shouldn't do that.

April 3, 2014 at 6:04 pm #98379AnitaKeymasterLook for this in your CSS:
body { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F5F5F5; margin: 0 auto; width: 970px; }
That will widen it. You will then need to widen your content area and sidebars.

April 3, 2014 at 6:29 pm #98381runaustinMemberYes I did that I thought. I had the below code there:
body {
background: #f5f5f5;
margin: 0 auto;
width: 1020px;
}Well, the width was 970 but I increased it to 1020 for my extra 50px I needed. I then enlarged the contant area but it's still not getting wider. I'm trying to fix this for pages like this: http://www.katytexasliving.com/map-search/ -- For pages where I have to frame in certain things. When I inspect it seems like I've done everything I can but it's still not working. Not sure where I'm going wrong.
Also, just to remind you - My goal is to get content from 590 to 640 wide. Thanks for your help
April 3, 2014 at 6:31 pm #98382runaustinMemberand when I put 1020 in for width - it doesn't change, it stays at 970
April 4, 2014 at 10:06 am #98472runaustinMemberTo recap:
I had already used the code you mentioned for the body - Id increased it from 970 to 1020 for an extra 50px.
It didnt work.......
I also had already changed the content width from 590 to 640.
Ideas?April 4, 2014 at 6:24 pm #98558AnitaKeymasterI just remembered something about Prose. Prose has multiple style sheets. Although Gary's code is from 2010 it still explains the concept of the Prose CSS - http://code.garyjones.co.uk/prose-style-sheets. Please also note - you should not start a new thread on the same issue.

April 4, 2014 at 7:49 pm #98566runaustinMemberOk
So under Genesis / Custom Code I added:
body {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #F5F5F5;
margin: 0 auto;
width: 1020px;
}And it worked.
It confused me b/c changing it in editor did nothing. For three days I've been feeling crazy.....
Thanks for telling me there were multiple stylesheets.
