    site: http://sharesandstockmarkets.com/blog

    old theme: balance, in-post image sizes: 620 x 230
    new theme: executive, in-post images sizes: unknown

    Problem 1: old image sizes do not correctly ‘stretch’ across the post when displaying historical posts probably due to new in-post image size dimensions

    Problem 2: I do not know the new in-post image sizes

    I tried downloading the regenerate plugin to no effect.

    Kind regards

    David

    Have you checked the function.php file to see if the images sizes are still being defined as 620 x 230?

    Anyway, a quick and easy fix for this is to go into your style.css folder.

    Go to line 1081:

    It should look like:

    img.alignleft, .wp-caption.alignleft {
    display: inline;
    margin: 0 20px 20px 0;
    }

    Simply add:

    min-width: 100%;

    It should then look like:

    img.alignleft, .wp-caption.alignleft {
    display: inline;
    margin: 0 20px 20px 0;
    min-width: 100%;
    }

    That will fix it.

    If it doesn’t fix immediately, clear the cache of your browser and refresh the page.

    Let me know if it doesn’t work.

    Thanks auzdafluff your code worked immediately :)

    Trouble is it magnified all images within posts to 100% width which made individual posts so I’ve removed the code.

    I used the regenerate plugin before this but it did nothing.

    I’ve also since found that the content width in the current theme is 680 so I’ll upload images using this width moving forward.

    For anyone who is interested the only way around this issue is to go back through all of the posts and insert an image with the new content width settings. Massive time suck.
