Just switched to Prose after being a long time user of Thesis. So far it's great
Just have 3 questions so far -
Q1 - The Design Settings include specifications for the Notice Boxes. How does a Notice Box get added to a page or post? Is it the same thing as a table?
Q2 - Is there a way to move the menu so it goes under the header graphic?
Q3 - Is there a hooks plugin that works with Prose?
Thanks and I hope I'm asking these questions in the right place!
Prose is a great way to get started with Genesis.
Q1. Notice boxes are a CSS class applied to any content you might add in a post. Try the following:
<p class='notice'>This is a styled notice box.</p>
Q2. Prose comes with two default menu locations, Primary is above the header area, Secondary is below. Try Secondary to start with.
Q3. Try the "Genesis Simple Hooks" plugin. A good companion plugin is the "Genesis Visual Hook Guide". For additional Prose customization, the "Genesis Prose Extras" plugin may help. The "Custom Code" area serves as your replacement for adding PHP and CSS mods in Prose.
The right place? The "Design Tips and Tricks" community forum might be a little more on-topic, but you'll find helpful feedback in all the community forums.
Great, Tom - thank you! So far Prose seems like a really good theme.
I got the Prose extras and actually was able to use that for the menu.
Will probably have more questions in "Tips and Tricks."
