    HI,
    I’m pretty new to this stuff and I have been using the “News” theme and things have been working pretty well.

    I have now had a request to change the main nav bar background to a light colour – which I sorted and the text to a dark colour – which I sorted.

    But I cannot find out how to change the colour of the wording on the drop down menus (sub menus) so I have a white text on a light grey background.

    Can anyone advise on how I make the text dark?

    To change color and background of items displayed in drop down sub menus, edit in this section of style.css file

    #nav li li a,
    #nav li li a:link,
    #nav li li a:visited

    At present it has background image set:
    background: url(images/bg-dark.png);

    and color of the text is white
    color: #fff;

    For making similar changes in the secondary menu, edit background and color in this section:

    #subnav li li a,
    #subnav li li a:link,
    #subnav li li a:visited

    Thanks all sorted. I was using the orange colour template – so the changes had to be made in that part of the CSS.

    cheers
