I’ve seen Nick and Andrea posting here at the new forum, and that’s great; I was worried that with the new portal, you would be too busy answering one on one questions to spend much time here.
I’m a relatively new StudioPress customer, and I’ve been impressed with what I’ve learned from Andrea and Nick (and the other moderators) at the old forum; I hope we will continue to see you hanging out here and giving your thoughts for those of use who aren’t necessarily looking for specific help, but hang out here to learn more.
Susan @ Graphically Designing I’d love to customize your website! I tweet!
I’ve taken up the challenge! – help me answer some of the unanswered postsNovember 17, 2012 at 10:50 am #436Susan,
Seriously, I’m touched. Thanks. Yes, we both plan on participating in these forums. We may not be able to answer everything but one thing that helps us do a great job in support is being able to answer questions that are beyond what we would normally be able to answer in support. I know I learn a lot when I can tackle an interesting question and come up with a solution.
I’ll probably drop some occasional tutorials in the Design Tips and Tricks section and have a couple of topics I want to start in the General Discussion to see about getting some interesting conversations going.
Hopefully those will have people participating so we can have a better community here as a whole, not just a place to go for support.
November 17, 2012 at 10:52 am #437Awww, thanks!
And yes – I do plan on checking in here at some points. The new system is helping to lighten the support load and hopefully one of the things I can get to is more docs!
Also – I need a new avatar. Hair is now pink not blue.

All the best
November 17, 2012 at 1:03 pm #455I was wondering the same thing about all the moderators. I’ve been on here since 2009 so having these familiar faces and names sure would have been a loss to me. Studiopress has the very BEST forum and support and even all the helpful members too.

Why Not Take The Challenge! – Help us answer some of the unanswered postsNovember 17, 2012 at 1:52 pm #469Can we clone these 2?
I’ve been a lurker since I became a customer and always top notch support from both of them and the other staff/moderators. We can’t forget about the other studiopress staff that put in a lot of time.

TwitterholicDecember 3, 2012 at 9:57 pm #3200Hi Andrea,
What I find most confusing is that these forums are a completely separate wordpress site than the main site. Maybe it’s multi-site I’m not quite sure but I had to re-register on these forums after many attempts of trying to login with my old information.
Although I was logged in to my.studiopress.com I wasn’t logged into these forums. While I realize you guys have made some recent changes to your site, I’m not sure why it’s going further away from user integration rather than moving toward user integration. I’ve lived on the web since 1998 and I find this entire change most confusing and less intuitive than previously with the vBulletin Integration.
Essentially I have 3 logins now. One for the old forums, one for the new forums, and one for my.studiopress.com
Are users going to be integrated? Any possibility of importing the old forum data to the new forums?
December 4, 2012 at 2:06 am #3235Agreed.
