    Hello,

I have been trying to figure this out for many hours with no success.
If you look at the menu tabs you see ‘Attorneys’
If you click on Attorneys it goes the bio of Attorney #1. However it does not say Attorney #1 on the page.
Instead it says Attorneys. I want the page to say Attorney #1
I understand to change the page names I have to go into the Pages area of the WP. dashboard and change it there.
HOWEVER….if I change the title in the Pages Dashboard, then by default the Menu will no longer stay as Attorneys. Instead it will say Attorney #1 but I want the menu to stay as Attorneys.

How can this be done? I am completely wiped out in trying to figure it out. Is there some sort of plug in I need to install or something? I tried playing around with the primary menu but it made things worst and now my menu bar is too long and messed up…I’ve already asked for help on that separate issue. So you see, this is really frustrating : /

As a WordPress/Genesis newbie, I have exactly the same issue (and frustration) – wanting to have a page title show up short in a menu, with a different longer title/heading when the page is displayed. Hunting around it looks like the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast would do the job, but it looks the Genesis SEO would be turned off by installing other SEO plugins – there must be a Genesis recommended way of doing this, or maybe we are both missing something easy/fundamental.

    Please help.

Go to Appearance > Menus > Select the Menu you want to modify. Select the page you want to add to the menu, and then in “Navigation Label”, type in whatever you want to have show on the Menu bar (it does NOT need to be the same title as the page.

    No plugin required…

Thanks @Susan! I knew it had to be something simple and obvious we had completely missed. D’oh! :)
