remove_action( 'genesis_before_post_content', 'genesis_post_info' );
inside function.php makes no difference.
changing shortcodes inside simple edit plugin works.
If you're using one of the HTML5 themes, you'd want to use this instead:
remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_post_meta' );
The HTML5 themes use different hooks.
thank you for your answer
I didnt know that. I am using the genesis base with html5 option selected.
Activate Genesis HTML5 Markup [?] from genesis extender.
Where can I see a list of the html5 hooks?
Besides is it a good idea to activate the html5 markup?
Anyway even with this new code I still see the date and author at the top of the post.
That's very odd that it wouldn't work - you might try opening a support ticket with Cobalt Apps to see if you need to use a different method with Extender. Activating HTML5 markup is generally considered a good idea, but it's not necessary - that's up to you. Here's an article that explains more about HTML5: http://www.web-savvy-marketing.com/2013/10/marriage-html5-genesis/
And here's more information about the new hooks: http://www.carriedils.com/genesis-2-0-hooks/
worked perfectly 😉
