Hi
I have a live eleven40 Pro site. Suddenly since last night I've had a problem viewing the homepage in Chrome.
1) If I go directly to the homepage (through Google or typing the url in the browser), the navigation along the top and the widgets along the bottom don't load.
2) If I go to a sub-page, everything loads. From this page if I click 'Home' everything loads in the homepage.
3) If I try to view the homepage when I'm logged in I can see everything OK.
So it seems for Chrome users, a direct visit to the homepage is not loading these bits.
Could anyone cast some light on why this is happening or how I can fix it?
If you're on Chrome here are the links:
The homepage (There probably won't be any navigation along the top)

This is a sub-page:

Thanks

February 26, 2014 at 3:56 am #92446PetertMemberSorry for all these posts but I keep discovering new things. If I go the the page directly in chrome I just see a black rectangle along the top of the page with no navigation or widgets at the bottom. If I then resize the window by dragging one edge wider with the cursor - hey presto everything appears. This is on the Mac.
February 26, 2014 at 8:06 am #92459PetertMemberLooking around on Google it seems a lot of people are experiencing problems rendering text in Chrome 33.0.1750.117. I realise now that essentially that's what's happening. Images are loading but no text - until I click a hyperlinked image or resize the window. Is anyone else having this problem?
February 27, 2014 at 8:01 am #92657PetertMemberProblem solved. For anyone else with the same issue - I have a plugin from Genesis called 'Genesis Media Project'. I disabled this plugin when WordPress made it possible to embed video responsively a few months ago. However, whenever I tested the site on pingdom some of the calls were still to files (I think) related to this plugin
flowplayer-3.2.6.min.js?ver=3.2.6
flowplayer.ipad-3.2.2.min.js?ver=3.2.2
jquery.fitvids.js?ver=1.0.0
jquery.fitvids.exec.js?ver=1.0.0Until yesterday this hadn't caused any problems. I had an email from an unbelievably helpful designer/developer:
http://www.reederwebdesign.ca
The designer suggested removing the call to these files but I was unable to find it in the Genesis header.php file or anywhere else so I changed the folder name of the plugin in ftp and hey presto - the text/fonts render perfectly on my website.Hope this helps anyone else with a similar issue.
