    Hello to all seniors,
    I have been using Genesis for a few months. I am not much experienced with css or PHP programming. I have been blogging for two years. Whatever i have learnt is from several excellent websites. [I am a medical doctor by day, and a blogger by late night ]

    I have been trying to create a three column footer widget following the method mentioned at several blogs.
    Adding` //* Add support for 3-column footer widgets
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 3 );`
    to child themes’s function.php

    and the below code to the child theme’s style.css

    /*
    Footer Widgets
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- */

    .footer-widgets {
        background-color: #333333;
        clear: both;
        color: #999999;
        padding: 4rem 0 1.6rem;
    }
    .footer-widgets-1, .footer-widgets-3 {
        width: 350px;
    background-color: #333333;
    }
    .footer-widgets-2 {
        width: 360px;
    background-color: #333333;
    }
    .footer-widgets-1 {
        margin-right: 4rem;
    margin-left: 4rem;
    }
    .footer-widgets-1, .footer-widgets-2 {
        float: left;
    }
    .footer-widgets-3 {
        float: right;
    }
    .footer-widgets a {
        border-bottom: 1px solid #666666;
        color: #999999;
    }
    .footer-widgets a:hover {
        color: #DDDDDD;
    }
    .footer-widgets .widget {
        margin-bottom: 2.4rem;
    }
    .footer-widgets .widget-title {
        color: #FFFFFF;
    }
    .footer-widgets li {
        list-style-type: none;
        margin-bottom: 0.6rem;
        word-wrap: break-word;
    }
    .footer-widgets .search-form input:focus {
        border: 1px solid #DDDDDD;
    }

    Now the problem is i wanted the entire footer widget take the color black [#333333] but some spaces are taking the image background of the site container. I am using the genesis 2.0 and dynamik website builder.

    Any help from the seniors will be earnestly appreciated.

    regards
