When I hover over my byline it reads “Visit Angel Thompson’s Website.” I want to change this or get rid of it. Can you please help? Thank you

Hello I’m not really sure what you mean by byline? are you referring to your footer section.

To speed up the process please post the link to the website in question.

The byline tells who wrote an article or post. On my site, it is next to the date. Your byline, for example, would read: By Rob Goss

    Thanks for the prompt response

I think StudioPress refers to it as Author, but none the less. Are you wanting to remove it completely? And what themes are you using?

Ok, now we’re on the same page!

I want to keep it, but I want to edit the text that appears when I hover over it. And I’m using Prose.

I have that theme installed now and the only thing I can think of on how to change the Author is click on the menu
( screen-options ) at the top of your WordPress dashboard check the author box them Choose a post you wish to change the Author. There should be a dropdown menu with a few options. Let me know if this will work.

You can also choose the ( Bulk Acction ) while editing your post check which post you want to edit the Author clicl apply bulk action and it will give you more options…

Thanks, but I only want to change the text that appears when hovering over the author’s name. As of now, the text reads: “Visit Angel Thompson’s Website.”

Can you see in your settings if “Visit Angel Thompson’s Website.” is located?
