I'm using the IDX Broker Quick Search widget in the property search area and it disappears everytime the slider changes pictures. How can I have this section display above the slider and constant not disappearing.

March 21, 2013 at 12:34 pm #30057jclark117MemberNow the search box is below the slider. I'd like for it to be displayed over the top of the slider. Please advise...
March 21, 2013 at 5:48 pm #30328AnitaKeymasterHow did you insert the slider code? Did you add it to a file or use Simple Hooks?

March 22, 2013 at 8:48 am #30436jclark117MemberI originally used simple hooks as I wanted a full width slider but its causing me too much of a headache now I've simply inserted the shortcode into the slider widget area. Now the issue is that the quick search area is constantly fading in and out and not functioning as it should. It should obviously remain steady and unchanged but I don't know how to address it. Any suggestions?
March 22, 2013 at 12:41 pm #30523AnitaKeymasterIt's a conflict with the IDX. You have two running IDX scripts running in there overlapping.

April 11, 2013 at 11:53 am #34789jclark117MemberI've looked but dont see where there are two sets of IDX. Can you point me in right direction?
April 11, 2013 at 12:26 pm #34798AnitaKeymasterThe conflict is between the banner rotator and the IDX search widget. You have them overlapping each other.

April 11, 2013 at 5:52 pm #34878jclark117Memberhow do I fix it so that the banner rotator does it's thing and the property search widget floats above it? I'm clueless on this one. Please help.
April 11, 2013 at 6:01 pm #34880AnitaKeymasterYou added the slider to the left widget area and expanded it to go into the right widget area where the search is located. What you are looking for is to have a widgetized area overlayed another widgetized area. I cannot code that for you. Maybe someone else can or you can pay a developer to customize that area for you.

April 11, 2013 at 6:25 pm #34883Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
There is probably more than one way to resolve this, but here is some CSS that should help fix it.
Add
position: relative
to .featured-top
Remove
float: left
from .slider
Change .property-quick-search to:
border: 10px solid #fff; min-height: 260px; overflow: hidden; padding: 20px; width: 240px; z-index: 10; position: absolute; top: 15px; right: 15px;
You may want to add a background to the search box as it is showing the slider through. Actually a semi-transparent white would look good, or change the text to white and go with a semi-transparent black.
Let me know if you have trouble with this.

April 27, 2013 at 8:05 pm #38149provirtualassistantMemberThis is EXACTLY what I want to do too. The full width background image with the IDXBroker widget in place of the AgentPress Quick Search widget. I have looked at the code in firefox but I'm afraid it's not clear to me. Any help with creating this http://www.clarkrealestate.org/ slider/idxbroker widget layout would be AWESOME.
Thanks!
Suzanne
