I am using the Heads Up Bar on my girlfriend’s website and it’s located across the very top – http://goo.gl/oFlxJ. It’s pushing the site down and now the Navigation is not where it needs to be. Does anyone have a clue as to why it would do this and/or how I can fix it. Otherwise I’ll have to remove it. Thanks in advance for you help.

Why Not Take The Challenge! – Help us answer some of the unanswered postsDecember 20, 2012 at 8:47 am #6398I have looked at the website and the problem is probably your header.
#header .wrap has a height of 100 and a fixed background picture with a height of 100. You want the menu above the line right? Maybe it is possible to add a padding to the #header .wrap equal to the height of the heads up bar. With this padding everything will drop down I hope.
I don’t know the heads up bar plug-in so don’t hold me accountable

You can fix this two ways-either upload a taller background image (about +30px) to allow for the bar or recode your CSS and remove the background image from “body” and apply it to #wrap.

December 20, 2012 at 9:02 am #6403Thank you surefirewebserv. I tried Coen’s way and didn’t work. Would you be able to tell me how to perform the steps you described in your response. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to do what you suggested.

Why Not Take The Challenge! – Help us answer some of the unanswered postsDecember 20, 2012 at 9:11 am #6407Sure! In your css file on the body tag you have this:
body { background: url(http://visibilitymarketing.com/wp-content/themes/agency/images/bg-vmi.png) repeat-x white; color: #444; font-size: 14px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Trebuchet MS'; margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 24px; }style.css line 15
Just cut the background attribute and put it in your #wrap declaration.
So it should look like this:
#wrap { background: url(http://visibilitymarketing.com/wp-content/themes/agency/images/bg-vmi.png) repeat-x white; margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; }line 47
and your body should look like this:
body { color: #444; font-size: 14px; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Trebuchet MS'; margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; line-height: 24px; }
