I’m using the Executive child theme and was very happy with the layout until I updated to WordPress 3.6. Now I can’t get the sidebar off the home page without removing it from all other pages too. Help!

You will need to populate the home page widgets which removes the sidebar on the home page.

Brad, thanks so much for your reply. I have widgets loaded into Header Right, Home Slider, Home Top, Home Call to Action. I’ve put widgets into Home Middle and the Footers but they didn’t have any effect on the sidebar. What am I missing?

Maybe you’re using a static page as your front page but it doesn’t look like it from your source code.

If so, you can select the full width layout on that page or install the Genesis Layout Extra’s plugin.

Or maybe deactivate all your plugins and see if it resolves the problem.

Layout extras fixed it – phew! You’re the man Brad.
