How would I remove the subnav left widget area in Metro’s secondary navigation?

In your functions file, this is the area registering that widget:
// Adds widget area before the .menu on #subnav
add_filter( ‘genesis_do_subnav’, ‘child_do_subnav_widget’, 10, 2 );
function child_do_subnav_widget( $subnav_output, $subnav ){
ob_start();
genesis_widget_area( ‘subnav-left’, array(
‘before’ => ‘<div class="subnav-left widget-area">’,
) );
$widget_area = ob_get_clean();

return str_replace( $subnav, $widget_area . $subnav, $subnav_output );
}
Thanks Susan!

Apparently, I didn’t do something right because when I removed that bit it took the whole site down. I had to replace the functions.php file to repair it.

My ultimate goal is to remove the subnav left widget area and have the subnav menu move to the left.

Do you know how I might go about that?
