    I was able to reposition the date in the News Pro nav bar so that it is beneath the primary nav.

    How would I reposition the date to be in the sidebar?

    I’ve tried absolute positioning, but the settings differ from Firefox to Chrome to Safari. Any suggestions?

    thank you

    If you are just wanting the current date in the sidebar, you don’t need to use the date that is in the nav.

    One way to accomplish this would be to use the PHP Code Widget plugin, which is similar to the Text Widget, but allows you to use PHP code as well: http://wordpress.org/plugins/php-code-widget/

    Place the PHP Code widget in your sidebar and type in code such as:

    <?php echo date_i18n( get_option( 'date_format' ) ); ?>

    Thanks for the suggestion. I used the PHP Code Widget and it worked fine. But, I ended up adding a hook to my functions.php file that added the date before the sidebar widget area.

    That’s another great way to do it. I’m glad you got it working. :)
