Hello , we are having a few issues with the Magazine theme and Googles Rich Snippet error messages.
We use Yoast Plugin for SEO and use WP social for our review stars.

I have added my Google profile url to the users field http://www.copyblogger.com/wordpress-google-authorship/
Added code to my child themes functions.php for the updated date https://gist.github.com/gregrickaby/2838395
Updated to Genesis 2.0 and HTML 5 http://www.studiopress.com/news/genesis-2-0-resources.htm

The only thing I am worried about is I don't want to have to put my face on results in Google and My results are not showing in Google at the moment so I am trying to fix things but something is going wrong in the background and I may mess it up further.
Thank you again
August 3, 2013 at 3:21 am #53896kappienlMemberbraddalton, your solution worked for me to. I now have no errors while checking the snippets but the way u use will show the author name en dates on the posts. Is there a way to include these snippets in the code so google sees them but not show them on a post or page?
August 3, 2013 at 4:02 am #53906Brad DaltonParticipantYes. You can remove them using CSS code however they remain in the source code so search engines still grab the data.

August 4, 2013 at 3:16 am #54061MealtogMemberHey Brad, the link you provided: https://gist.github.com/gregrickaby/2838395
This is so that you can add G+ profile URLS when there are multiple authors? By default, it's not available?
August 4, 2013 at 4:34 am #54073Brad DaltonParticipantAugust 4, 2013 at 4:57 am #54074MealtogMemberSorry, wrong URL. I meant this one: http://www.copyblogger.com/wordpress-google-authorship/
It seems there is already a G+ field in each author's editing screen. Maybe that tutorial was for a prior version of Genesis?
ok, going too fast. Mixed up both URL's. There is no coding for adding G+ authorship. It's built in!
August 4, 2013 at 4:59 am #54075Brad DaltonParticipantCorrect. All you need to do is add your Google + profile and you're cooking with gas!
August 8, 2013 at 8:53 am #54904radleycollectorMemberWe have now updated to gen 2.0 and magazine 2.1 (think they the right numbers, but i mean the latest ones)
and to be honest getting a bit confused on what else I am meant to do , to one make it html 5 as it looks no different to me and 2. to get the schema working since the update.
Do I still follow the links you posted above? or are there new instructions now everything is out of beta or is it needed at all?
Sorry I am not a coder and trying my best to get yoast, genesis and the star ratings all working correctly....
August 8, 2013 at 8:55 am #54908Brad DaltonParticipantThe last link contains resources for converting your child theme to HTML 5 http://www.studiopress.community/topic/rich-snippet-problems-with-magazine-child-theme/#post-45255
August 8, 2013 at 9:18 am #54922radleycollectorMemberThank you Brad.
I will look into that right now.
on the email I got it says :Schema.org Microdata is built in with the new gen update,
do I need to do anything to change settings with this etc? I don't see anything relating to it on my word press admin panel.
