How can I get my search box or social icons in line with the nav menu?

    Thanks for your help!

Search bar: There’s a checkbox/dropdown in Genesis Theme Settings that will put the search bar at the right of your nav menu – right in your admin.

Social icons: You;ll need to move them from the header widget area to a new one you create that’s on the same line with the nav bar.

Right now your nav bar is 100% of the width of your container – you’ll want to give it less than that and float it left. Then you’ll need to add a brand-new widgeted area that floats right.

Here’s a tutorial to get you started on that: http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/register-widget-area/ – note the part where you’ll need to use a hook to show the widgeted area to the right of your nav.

Be it ever so run down, there’s no place like FriendFeed. ;-)

Thank you, I’ve added the hook. How do I properly show the widgeted area to the right of the nav?
