I'm faced with the challenge of adding a search button in the navigation that drops down the search field when hovered over. For a better example you can view http://blog.myredcaffeine.com to see what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm not sure on how the best way to approach this is. Any insight or help will be greatly appreciated.http://riskybusiness.kcic.com
That's a cute hipster way of showing a search. The HTML basis is actually simple, just a plain unordered list, like any menu. But you'll need to be very proficient at CSS to put that together, understanding hovers, positioning, and so on. That site also uses CSS3 techniques, too, and would need to make some graphics to go with all that. It's very fancy for such a little thing, and would take a fair amount of work, even for someone who can handle all that.
Of course, any client will think, ah, that's small, it must be so easy.
