I am trying to decrease the sidebar widget spacing on my first two widgets a the top, which is a text widget with an image in it and the 2nd widget is the aweber form. Basically, I want as little spacing around them or between them as possible. The text image is centered.
I have looked at the css for hours and tried tweaking it, but am still having difficulties. It doesn't want to change as easily as other widgets have with the padding changes. thank you!

.sidebar .widget:first-of-type { margin-bottom: 0; border-bottom: 0; } .sidebar .widget:first-of-type .aligncenter { margin: 0 auto; } .sidebar .widget:nth-of-type(2) { border-top: 0; } .sidebar input#af-submit-image-2035813497 { padding: 0; }

August 23, 2014 at 11:50 am #120634restminMemberLauren, sorry to bug you again, but it is off with spacing.
I had to create a new aweber list (am working on broadcast vs. followup autoresponders) which meant I had to create a new aweber form for the list. Your code is still in my custom CSS area, and after adding the new form, I made sure it was all the same. Still I seem to have lost some of the adjustment.I tried to see what you had done and tried adding this, but nothing changed.
.sidebar input#af-body-1791818771 {
padding: 0;
}Can you tell me what I may need to change in future updates so it works?
THANK YOU!
http://invisibleillnessweek.comAugust 23, 2014 at 12:31 pm #120637Lauren @ OnceCoupledMemberI'm using the browser inspector to find where your padding is and remove it. Here's a starting tutorial: http://www.studiopress.com/tips/using-firebug.htm
In this case, you want to do:
.sidebar #af-body-1791818771.af-body { padding: 0 0 10px; }

August 23, 2014 at 4:49 pm #120667restminMemberstill not working, and before they "looked" like they were in the same "box" (maybe no borders?) I do use firebug and Q inspector on FF but am just not getting the code right. Right now I have all this in my CSS. Yeah, I tried a few quirky things, but those didn't work either. Sorry to bother, but it is back to making me nutty. LOL
.sidebar .widget:first-of-type { margin-bottom: 0; border-bottom: 0; } .sidebar .widget:first-of-type .aligncenter { margin: 0 auto; } .sidebar .widget:nth-of-type(2) { border-top: 0; } .sidebar input#af-submit-image-2035813497 { padding: 0; } .sidebar #af-body-1791818771.af-body { padding: 0 0 10px; } .sidebar #af-text-818968888.af-body { padding: 0 0 10px; }
August 25, 2014 at 10:21 am #120933Lauren @ OnceCoupledMemberHello,
It's not working because you added a new widget to the top that was not there previously. You'll need to re-work the code to accommodate that widget or move the widget down.

August 25, 2014 at 1:27 pm #120963restminMemberhmm, okay, it wasn't working before that either. I just did that late last night. It hadnt been correct since I changed the aweber mailing list. I will try to figure it out. thanks.
