I’ve got a display issue with the Simple Social Icons:

This has occurred after I was tinkering with some “hardening” and I locked down wp-content by creating a .htaccess in the directory with:

    # Prevent access to wp-content
    Order deny,allow
    Deny from all
    Files ~ “.(xml|css|jpe?g|png|gif|js)$”
    Allow from all
(Note: removed Files tags so it shows up in this post???)

So, I guess this is locking out access to something relevant to the Simple Social Icons plugin, but I couldn’t work out what.

Any ideas? For now I’ve removed the .htaccess.

You’ll need to allow access to the eot, svg, ttf and woff font file formats so the plugin can load the fonts required.
