Social icons outreach – right of menu

I am going around in circles trying to get the social icons on the right hand side of the main menu on my site

However I am confused about if to use a widget, custom code, filters?

Can anyone explain this in simple terms as I am sure it can’t be that difficult.

Thank for that Brad, I had seen this but I want to get my icons on the right hand side of the primary nav bar as in the Outreach Demo

The demo only has the Twitter. I gather you want others.

I have tested that code from Brians tutorial and it does add the icons to the right hand side in the nav menu.

I’m i missing something?

You could also modify that code which i think is the only way to do it unless you use sprites bit its still very similiar.

Yes because that tutorial refers to creating social icons using a custom menu in the header right widget area.

You want the main nav menu.

Thanks for your reply, but does that mean you have to have a letter beside each one?

This site http://amiechilson.com/ has done it without having letter beside each icon?

I think this has been done with filters?

No letter but you need to add something. It will display the icon only.

OK! I think we are nearly there – I’ve got the youtube icon up.

Am I able to centre it and make them float right?

My problem was I was trying to create a second custom menu and then did not know what to do with it!

Yes. You have the class so use that with some CSS.
