I am reporting spammers to the support email. Are the moderators receiving those emails? I am providing the direct link to the entries. There needs to be some type of REPORT button on this new forum.

Why Not Take The Challenge! – Help us answer some of the unanswered postsDecember 2, 2012 at 9:41 pm #2953This forum is not even a month old right now. Be patient as staff i’m sure is looking into these types of things we report. I’m a moderator on a largte forum and I have to deal with spammers every single day. In the backend, things get changed and modified to help prevent less spammers from posting.
Give this forum some time. I love this forum already as it’s more helpful close community. For now, Use this section to report spammers till things get worked out.

December 3, 2012 at 7:36 am #2979Well, two more ads about Kitchens are now on here – http://www.studiopress.com/forums/forum/general-discussion/. Isn’t someone going to remove those out of here. On the old forum – we never had spam like this. It’s really frustrating to come to look now and see all that crap on here.

Why Not Take The Challenge! – Help us answer some of the unanswered postsDecember 3, 2012 at 1:49 pm #3101We received MUCH more spam in the old forums. We had to delete literally dozens of spam topics a day. Some mornings there would be 20-30 overnight plus many others that were tacked onto old threads we may never see.
Seriously, the amount of spam coming in now is much less than it was previously.

December 7, 2012 at 2:19 pm #3778Snakeair, it is very much related to SPAMMERS
the previous forum was vBulletin and I must admit I didn’t take BBpress that seriously .. was more inclined to look at simplepress, so will revisit BB

December 7, 2012 at 2:29 pm #3780I’m a super moderator on v7n network community and yes we still have spammers coming but we use custom coding to help stop the bulk of the attacks and other things I can not mention. I even owned a vbulletin forum at one time but sold it as I wanted to be a blogger. lol
It don’t matter what forum software you use, the spammers will find a way or people who you think are normal posters will just disobey your rules and spam away.
Good luck in your search though.
