    I’m trying to add a special meta tag to this site for controlling layout on mobile devices. I’ve followed this Genesis tutorial on using a hook, but it doesn’t add the meta tag.

    The tag I want to add across the whole site is:

    <meta name="format-detection" content="telephone=no">

    So, I added that meta code to a new file named cbw-meta.php and put it in the child theme’s directory (Executive Pro).

    Then I added this to the functions.php of the child theme:

    add_action( 'genesis-post-meta', 'include_cbw_meta');
    function include_cbw_meta() {
        require(CHILD_DIR.'/cbw-meta.php');
    }

    Uploaded those to the server and refreshed the browser, but the new meta tag doesn’t show up in the rendered source.

    What step did I miss here?

    Thanks.

    Dang. I totally spaced that there is a Settings page in Genesis that lets me add stuff to the header. I did it that way and it worked like a charm.
