    I’m trying to move the position of the social sharers that appear at the bottom of my single posts to above the related stories …. can anyone help me out?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    What share plugin are you using? Both plugins are most likely appending their html on the WordPress ‘the_content’ filter. If the share plugin’s ‘the_content’ filter priority can be set lower than the related posts, then it should appear above the related posts.

    Thanks for your help, I’m using this one: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-socializer/

    I looked into WP Socializer, but they are doing something goofy with the way they add their filters, so I looked into nr related posts plugin and found better results.

    You can try the following in the theme’s functions.php file;

    //	remove the default relate content filter
    remove_filter( 'the_content', 'nrelate_related_inject', 10 );
    remove_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'nrelate_related_inject', 10 );

    //	add the related content filter with a lower priority
    add_filter( 'the_content', 'nrelate_related_inject', 15 );
    add_filter( 'the_excerpt', 'nrelate_related_inject', 15 );

    I hope this helps.
