What causes certain words in my posts and pages to be “keyed” on…highlighted…with affiliate pop-up windows coming up when the mouse arrow crosses the word? I didn’t put these in…can’t see any code in my text…so these links are coming from the outside.

I’m sure other people have seen this.

    Thanks!

Can you provide a link to your blog?

Do you use any revenue generating programs on your blog? I’m thinking what it could be but without us looking at your blog, we can not give a real answer.

Your site may have been injected with malicious code.

I’d run a scan using the Wordfence plugin.

My blog is still in the works…not really ready yet.

However, here is an About page that has three links (at least as I look at this page…I don’t know if other people will see these too).

There are 3 words or phrases that are like links. I didn’t configure these and they don’t appear in the text in the “Edit” mode.

    Insurance Policies
    Lose Weight
    How To Lose Weight

Hopefully…some people can see these words as links too…and have a way for me to stop these.

    Thanks!

    Brad,

Thanks for looking at this. Next question is…what can I
use to scan for and get rid of this? Even if I need to pay for a good
    application to prevent this…I would.

    This is a pain!
