This is the new site I am working on — http://www.johnnycakebooks.com/new/ and I uploaded a logo. partial width, and am using that in the Header and if I look at the site here —- http://responsinator.com/?url=www.johnnycakebooks.com%2Fnew%2F I see htere are a couple of responsive design problems which I’ve been trying to correct in style.css, but have made so many adjustments that I have totally confused myself. If someone can offer some help, I’d REALLY appreciate it! These are the problems I’m trying to correct:
1) on ipad and kindle, landscape, the menu in the header widget area is appearing way below, not in line with the logo I uploaded…
2) on ipad and kindle, portrait, the menu in the header widget area is appearing on top of the logo…. Those are the two main problems. Thanks!
December 4, 2012 at 1:21 pm #3301Hi Helen, with the new responsive css in child themes, if you make changes to graphic element sizes it can go awry (like with your logo). It used to be much more straight forward with the old child themes because it just resized the entire page down to size. Now we find that it’s easier to strip out the css responsive code and develop the site as we used to. Then, if we need to optimize for smart phones and tablets we just create a mobile optimized site separately using say WPTouch or something similar. I hope this helps…

I just can’t seem to get the image I’ve specified in different widths to be centered…. If someone could help, would really appreciate it!
Thanks

@Lisa, I see your point, but if I have to do it the old way, then why did I spend close to $400 to get studiopress functionality? Maybe someone has an easy code answer? Thanks in advance!!
