Hi there,
I need some urgent help please. My website is http://musicaltoysfortoddlers.comI am using Genesis and the Metro Theme.
I installed the Thrive Content Plugin and I was working on a post for the past number of hours. Everything seemed fine, it all published fine and everything looked good.
I logged out of my website, but when I logged back in again and was checking some posts, all I can see is the content on the homepage. If I click to the About-Us page (link down in footer), the top half of the screen is black, and all I can see is the links in the sidebar which turn red, and the background image.
If I click on the first post in the sidebar, I can see that one, but for every other post, I cannot see anything.
If I click on one of the menu items, I get the same problem, top half of screen black, links in the sidebar turn red, and the only thing showing is the background image.
I desperately need help please as I've no idea why it has all gone crazy like this.
The only other thing I did was remove code I had added for the hreflang from the <head> section in Genesis settings, as I was showing errors for it in Google Webmaster Tools.
If someone could please help me urgently, I would be so grateful. I have been up all night long working on the site and haven't even been to bed. I cannot go now as I really need to fix this problem as a matter of urgency.
I'm not a technical person, so I really would appreciate some urgent assistance to fix this.
I did deactivate the Thrive Content Plugin, but it doesn't make any difference. The content for all of my posts that weren't created using the plugin are all there still.
Please help!

<!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="//html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script><![endif]-->
The line should look like this:
<!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="//html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script>[endif]-->
In your code you have an extra opening comment tag before the endif that shouldn't be there.
I don't know if that's the only problem you have, but it's a start.

Victor

Have you requested your free website audit yet?November 20, 2015 at 12:11 pm #171639mezzersMemberHi Victor,
Thank you so much for taking the time to check the site. I really do appreciate it.Not being technical, it took me a while to figure out what that might be and where the problem might be.
I had contacted Copyblogger as I'm hosted with Synthesis, and while they could see code issues, they felt the site should be restored from backup which would have meant losing 6 hours of work.
I've been racking my brains to find where it might be and I just figured it out now!
I was missing </script> in the <head> section where I have the Google Analytics code. You're an absolute genius Victor and I cannot thank you enough! You've no idea how relieved I am that I'm not going to lose all of my work.
Thank you so so much!
I had removed some code I had in there for hreflang as GWT were showing loads of errors for it, and I must have accidentally deleted the end </script>
Thanks a million Victor for taking the time to check my site in Firefox and for pointing out what the problem was. I am so grateful to you.
Thanks again! You're a gentleman and non-techies like me are blessed to have people like you on the forum here.
all the best,
Mary -
