    Hello, my name is Mario and I am from Germany.
    I’m new here and find the genesis framework very well.
    I have a question.
    How can I install a vertical menu, in addition to the primary and secondary menu? It should also be available in the widgets as verticales menu.
    if possible I would like implentieren it directly into the theme and not a plugin. or you know a good plugin where I can style all good at css. should also be marked in the side menu activ.
    sorry, my english is not good, because google aunt helped. :)

    You can use the custom menu widget in a sidebar or any widget area.

    You can add a new widget anywhere there’s a hook.

    You can style widgets individually.

    Hi, I’m still trying to edit the custom menu in the sidebar. I would like the active side there is a andee color (text). I use the Agency theme with the orange color setting. What do I need to add in the Style.css that this works in the custom menu. ‘ve added the following to the color settings in the css:

    .agency-orange a,
    .agency-orange a:active,
    .agency-orange h2 a:active,
    .agency-orange #footer a:active {
    	color: #000;
    }

    unfortunately does not work. why is there no suitable vertical menu for WordPress, only horizontally?

    You can use Firebug to inspect the element, find the class, and change the value for the color property ion your child themes style.css file.

    Hi Brad, that’s what I did but it still does not solve. Firebug is active in the class:

    . agency orange-a, agency-orange a:. active, agency-orange h2 a:. active, agency-orange # footer a:. active {
         color: # 000000;
    }
    a, a: visited {
         -moz-text-blink: none;
         -moz-text-decoration-color:-moz-use-text-color;
         -moz-text-decoration-line: none;
         -moz-text-decoration-style: solid;
    }

    He takes no changes when I use the class a: active insertion
