Hello,
I'm having some weird type in a blog post excerpt shown here - http://imgur.com/0KCrGuz under the 2 shares as "]
How can I get rid of these characters?
Thanks!

Have you requested your free website audit yet?June 25, 2015 at 10:16 am #157513ChristophMemberHi Jesse,
there's something quite wrong with your markup:
https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fdrjessechappus.com%2FblogI believe the stray "] comes from this code:
<script type="text/javascript">function essb_window307773250(oUrl, oService) { essb_window(oUrl, oService, 7032); }; function essb_pinterenst307773250() { essb_pinterenst(); }</script>"]</div>

June 25, 2015 at 11:20 pm #157552ChristophMemberThese lines are causing the validator to stop:
<style type="text/css" media="screen"> .simple-social-icons ul li a, .simple-social-icons ul li a:hover { background-color: #eeeeee !important; border-radius: 0px; color: #222222 !important; border: 0px #ffffff solid !important; font-size: 19px; padding: 10px; } .simple-social-icons ul li a:hover { background-color: #222222 !important; border-color: #ffffff !important; color: #ffffff !important; }</style><style type="text/css">.broken_link, a.broken_link { text-decoration: line-through; }</style><style type='text/css'>.custom-background .site-header-banner { background: #ffffff repeat left scroll; } </style>
I would put the css selectors into the style.css and delete this. (Probably in Genesis - Theme Settings - Header and Footer Scripts (but it could also be included through a plugin).
After that the validator will stop every time this construct is used:
<a href="http://drjessechappus.com/msm-the-beauty-mineral/"></p> <p>[click to continue…]</a></p>
If you want to have a line break before the click to continue you could add a <br/> before the tag:
<br/><a href="http://drjessechappus.com/msm-the-beauty-mineral/"> [click to continue…]</a></p>
or wrap it in its own <p> tag:
</p><p><a href="http://drjessechappus.com/msm-the-beauty-mineral/">[click to continue…]</a></p>

June 26, 2015 at 9:44 am #157584ChristophMemberDid you check in the post editor if you have a
"]
in the Scripts or Custom Fields section?
June 26, 2015 at 9:51 am #157586JesseMemberI dont see custom fields but scripts is clear.
June 26, 2015 at 11:01 am #157598TomParticipantAn additional observation (from http://jona.ca/blog/unclosed-tag-finder) shows an error that might cascade from the error(s) Christoph uncovered,
Closing tag </p> on line 144 does not match open tag <a href="http://drjessechappus.com/5-keys-to-thriving-health/"> on line 144.
To simplify this problem determination, please check the impact of plugins by disabling them one by one. I'd start with Easy Social Share, then Design Palette Pro.
Choose your next site design from over 350 Genesis themes.
