I've been looking through the themes and I am trying to find one that would allow a header image at the top that can be changed according to the page or post you are looking at (featured header image). I also need a theme that would allow two navigation panels. Specifically a top navigation panel maybe above the header and one below the header.
To give more detail, this is what I am after. I am trying to figure out a way to combine two websites that are currently in two different subdomains. They are radio stations, one an am and one an fm station under one domain. They each have their own set of navigation links, but the manager wants to be able to use the main domain instead of having a subdomain for each. He has his reasons.
My thought was to have a navigation section for each station and whatever page a listener was looking at either the am or the fm, would have the logo related to the page and that station. Any page having to do with the am station would have the am logo at the top and any page having to do with the fm station would have the fm logo at the top. I hope I am clear in my description. It's difficult to try to express. I've got it in my head.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Or create a custom field with custom meta box which pretty much does the same thing as the plugin. This is more advanced but its highly customizable.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply.

You could the same thing using CSS, PHP and/or custom fields however its a fair amount of work.
September 24, 2013 at 1:57 pm #64004AngelaMemberThanks for sharing this plugin! I was looking for something similar when I stumbled on this chain.
Brad, really appreciate all you do! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!

At the moment the plugin does not work with your theme however custom headers are supported with your theme. Only one can be used unless you add more with PHP code or CSS.
How many did you want to add?
September 25, 2013 at 5:41 pm #64193JennyLonMemberFirstly Brad, we don't want to update Lifestyle 1.0 theme to next version - WHY?
because a heck of a lot of custom work and time was done to this and a few other sites also using lifestyle 1.0 and its looks completely different when we tested it a as live test in 2.0 version stuff frankly got screwed up all over the place and would thus mean hours doing all the site starting right over!We do need numerous headers for different pages How many? Gosh no idea it add hock as and when we feel it fit to what we have and new ideas/pages...any ideas we can do then to have different headers?
September 25, 2013 at 6:57 pm #64220Brad DaltonParticipantThere's multiple options which i have written about already.
You can use CSS or PHP and a custom field if you want to easily add more in the future.

September 26, 2013 at 2:03 pm #64358JennyLonMemberHi Brad,
Please appreciate I am a total newbie to do with any coding ! (Someone way back did the site for us to customize at the time its borders, content width far wider and other things)
Hence the plug WOULD have been ideal for me BUT you think my lifestyle theme version 1.0 will not work with the header plugin then?
If so Darn-it would have been sooo much easier
So hence I have read your Your information link as above "You can use CSS or PHP and a custom field if you want to easily add more in the future". (http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-unique-header-images-using-custom-fields/)
Sorry it went right over my head! Could not work out what SPECIFIC code is the right one for me to add (and where to place it or use Genesis hooks maybe better choice?) in my outcome to ultimately do this:
Have the home page with it own header and yet this may also be repeated across several pages etc BUT then other pages (which ones have no idea till we do them) would have their own unique header image (all images will be same size throughout though - keeps it simpler)-:
How would I then also once a new page has been created or ( existing version) to tell it to now USE a specific header for that particular page?
(I get I have to upload header images and name them how do Then tell a page to use THAT specific image?)many thanks Jenny

Simply change the hook in the code from
genesis_after_header
to
genesis_header
September 26, 2013 at 6:40 pm #64401JennyLonMemberHi Brad
you said here is the solution and a link...this lady did not seem in the end to do it though?
plus I have no idea specifically what code I would use and goes where, Also am I using simple hooks, or something else such as another plugin to set things up and do all this?
The site is TheUltimateTherapist (dot com) the header is the one at the very top pointing etc, we would like different headers for certain pages other then same on the home page throughout the site.
Thank Jenny
