HI folks,
I'm new here and I'm not a programmer but I can do lots of minor design changes once I have my hands on a theme. I'm wondering if anyone would be able to tell me, based on either knowing Elegant Themes' Lean Biz Theme, or looking at my site, http://HowNOTtoRV.com (which is on it), which of the Studiopress themes would be the easiest to transition to, structurally, bearing in mind that I want to have more functionality for promoting books, getting optins, tying in with social media, that kind of thing. I will be using Clickfunnels for landing pages and optins, I just need the site to be mobile responsive, have a good optin form above the fold somehow, and to look more contemporary look while keeping the fresh feel it has now. Can anyone spare a look?
Also, I find the Pro designation on the Studiopress themes confusing. Does it signify something different about the way the theme functions? Or what options it has?
Thanks so much for any advice you can offer on the theme choice,
Jennifer

I suggest you look at Author Pro which is built for promoting and selling books.
You could integrate features and functionality from other themes if needed like Altitude Pro.
2. Pro generally means its a new theme running HTML 5 markup which is more browser friendly and validates better according to the W3 standards

May 17, 2015 at 7:46 pm #152518liftoffParticipantOh, I see your comment now Brad, sorry. Thanks for the answer re Pro. That makes sense. I actually suspect Altitude Pro is not the right choice for me, that's one reason I asked. Maybe you or someone else will have a thought about which SP theme would be the least work to do from Lean Biz. I'm really slammed right now and going through a whole redesign is probably not in the cards, even if were to ask someone else to do it.

Any other features or functionality you want to migrate to a new theme?
May 17, 2015 at 8:16 pm #152521brockMemberHave a look at Outreach Pro, as well. That one seems similar to the layout you have now.
May 18, 2015 at 11:31 am #152579liftoffParticipantI"m moving away from the slider, although the one we have is pretty perfect, like an animated vehicle. If the theme were mobile responsive I'd keep it. WPtouch does a lousy job with it.
I'm looking at outreach pro. Good possibility. Thanks.

I wouldn't even look at a theme unless it is mobile responsive. 🙂
