    Hi I’m trying to take the Home Welcome widget from my Agency them and use in the Outreach theme.  Here’s the Agency site.

    I want to change the theme to the Outreach but it doesn’t have the Home Welcome widget.  I’ve tried to cut and paste where I thought it would work, but nothing will show or I get an error.

    Thanks for any help.

    John

    Instead of doing that – use Brian’s instructions for adding the Welcome Text Widget to the Outreach theme – http://www.briangardner.com/welcome-text-widget/.

    Thanks that works great.

    The only thing I need to know if it’s possible to separate the CSS of the Widget Title which is the Welcome Title from the regular widgets.

    This is the test site.

    This works, but now the widgets at the bottom have the same text size as the Welcome Title.

    Thanks,

    John

    Change the font size back to the original size so you footer widgets go back to normal. Then add this to the Welcome Widget area:

    [css]#text-6 h4{
    font-size: 25px;
    }
    [/css]

    You can add a color attribute to that also. The Text-6 means that’s Text Box #6. You have 5 other text boxes and the settings in 6 will not effect the other 5.

    Thanks so much!  That worked great.  One last thing.  Is there a way to control the padding between the header and the Welcome text?

    You can add this and change the number to whatever you are comfortable with. Hard to tell because you’ve changed the front of the site.

    [css]padding-top: 25px;[/css]

    Thanks for all the help.  I’ve made it live and it’s just about the way I want it.

    Have a great evening!
