I would like to make a copy of the default page template and assign a specific sidebar. I figured I could do that by copying the default page, making the changes (after I figure that out) and then saving it under a different name with the other templates. I did this with the full width page but then of course it was easy to find.

I know how to create custom sidebars (genesis simple SB) and attach them to pages and posts but this is different. I need a template that shows up in the drop down options for idxpress (details page). As long as it is a saved template page it will show up.

    Any direction appreciated.

    Thanks you.

Copy and rename the page_landing.php file and use that.

    Hi,

I can, I just don’t know how to add a sidebar to it.. and my landing page doesn’t have a header or footer.

You can use the SS plugin or hand code the sidebar.

The template needs to be coded but its easy when using the landing page template.

Remove the actions which remove the footer and header from the landing page template after renaming it.
