    Hello
    Hope somebody has some experience with multi-site – everything seems to work o.k. – however I’ve neither an http:// nor a www. in front of my page urls in the Safari address bar – just the plain domain name

    this is the content of the htaccess file:

    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $2 [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    # END WordPress

    Thank you in advance for your input

    In the WP Dashboard under Settings > General, what do you have entered for the WordPress Address (URL) and the Site Address (URL) fields?

    If the site is working and loading fine, then that’s just how Safari displays it in the address bar.
